Surviving Despair in its Thickest Blackness: Archeological Approaches to Visualizing Cherokee Removal

  • Lincoln School 1400 East Pony Thomas West Plains, MO, 65775 United States (map)

Come and hear Erin Whitson share her knowledge and experience with our community at Lincoln School!

“Erin Whitson fell in love with archaeology when she got to touch something that someone else hadn’t touched for hundreds of years and felt a connection. Even if it was just eggshells that someone cracked open to make food at some point, it felt special. While studying away from home, she got homesick and wanted to do something that would connect her with her hometown. The project in the newest My Ozarks video was the result.”
