Community Art and Impact: The Lincoln School Project

  • Lee Auditorium | Missouri History Museum 5700 Lindell Boulevard St. Louis, MO, 63112 United States (map)

Join Crockett and Tonya Oaks for a presentation about the Lincoln School Project, which tells the story of the one-room Lincoln schoolhouse in West Plains, Missouri. Through commissions by incredible artists like Charley Palmer, Solomon Thurman, and Cbabi Bayoc, the Oakes have used art as a medium of remembrance and honoring the legacy of Black Missourians.
